Education & Re-entry Support Successfully advocated for policies that allow teenage mothers to return to school. Directly supported over 500 teenage mothers in continuing their education. Established mentorship and scholarship programs that have empowered over 1,000 girls to stay in school. Led nationwide media campaigns on the re-entry policy, ensuring that communities are informed and engaged. Reached thousands through radio advertisements and public events promoting girls’ right to education.
Gender-Based Violence Prevention & Survivor Support Provided trauma-informed counseling, legal aid, and psychosocial support to more than 2,500 survivors of GBV. Established safe spaces for girls facing abuse, offering them protection and pathways to rebuilding their lives. Led community dialogues that have shifted harmful social norms and encouraged reporting of GBV cases. Trained gender-desk officers and community leaders to improve local responses to GBV.
Economic Empowerment & Financial Independence Trained over 3,000 young women and single mothers in vocational skills, entrepreneurship, and financial literacy. Supported the formation of women-led cooperatives that now sustain more than 50 families.
Policy Advocacy & Systemic Change Actively influenced national conversations and policy reforms on girls' rights and GBV prevention. Organized high-level stakeholder workshops, bringing together 100+ participants, including students, teachers, government officials, and MPs, to strengthen commitment to the re-entry policy.
Community Mobilization & Awareness Conducted nationwide campaigns reaching over 10,000 people, raising awareness on girls’ rights and GBV. Provided sign language interpretation at workshops, ensuring inclusivity for people with hearing impairments. Used audiovisual learning materials to enhance training impact for teachers and community leaders.
